Online portal now open for 2018 state-level CUNA Awards entries

The online portal is now open for the 2018 state-level CUNA awards competition for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award, the Louise Herring Philosophy in Action Award, and the Desjardins Youth and Adult Financial Education Awards. All entries are due by June 30th and winners will be recognized at the 2018 Gala (exact date TBD). Read more here...

Carolinas Foundation joins in efforts to aid Puerto Rico, Caribbean islands

"Catastrophic damage."

These are the words Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions Director Aaron Moses uses to describe the state of the northern Caribbean in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria during an interview with CU Broadcast’s Mike Lawson. 1

Several islands, including the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands, were severely impacted by the storms affecting over 3.4 million people, including credit union members.

Disaster Relief Aid updates on Harvey and Irma

The National Credit Union Foundation has announced that it had surpassed over $1 million in contributions for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Campaign. CUAid has raised $817,765 and the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation raised over $245,910. Read more...

The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation has posted its latest quarterly newsletter highlighting the many happenings in the last few months including the recent Reach volunteer day at the children’s hospital in Charleston, SC. Carolinas Foundation announces matching donation campaign for #HurricaneHarvey relief

As citizens in Houston and nearby cities face unprecedented flooding and devastation in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the National Credit Union Foundation activated its online disaster relief system CUAid.coop to raise money for credit union people affected by the storm. To help with this national effort, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation announced Wednesday morning that it will match all individual donations received through its own Disaster Relief Fund up to $5,000. All donations collected by the Carolinas Foundation will be sent directly to CUAid for disbursement.
