Northeast Chapter of Credit Unions Financial First Responders

Who We Are

The Northeast Chapter of the Carolinas Credit Union League is a group of credit unions who partner together on educational and charitable events in the northeastern quarter of North Carolina, including the Rocky Mount-Wilson area.

Credit Unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives that are owned by the members who do business with them. Due to our not-for-profit status and member-owned structure, we are committed to our people helping people motto. You can read and learn more about credit unions and our 8 Cooperative Principles here.

What Is A Financial First Responder?

The Financial First Responder program is being established by the Northeast Chapter in the wake of the devastating QVC fire in Rocky Mount in December 2021. With many layoffs resulting from this disaster, credit unions in the region are organizing certified financial counselors to assist employees impacted by job losses and the financial uncertainty that can result. Financial counseling will be provided free-of-charge by a nationally-certified financial counselor to all QVC employees who sign up. We care, and we’re here to help! Read on for complete details and if please feel free to sign up if you would like to schedule a counseling session.
