Victory Junction

The credit unions in the Carolinas have a rich history with Victory Junction, a summer camp dedicated to challenging children who have a serious medical condition to try things they never imagined possible. Campers are welcomed from all over the country and attend FREE of charge, thanks to many generous supporters. The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation remains one of the camp’s top corporate supporters with The Carolinas Cup serving as the most notable annual fundraiser. Over the last two decades, credit unions in the Carolinas have supported Victory Junction to the tune of more than $5 million with funding for two cabins, four medical units, revamping of its spiritual center and many more enhancements to its camp as noted in the timeline below.

In 2015, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation made a tremendous pledge, the largest in its history. With a $900,000 commitment from the Foundation though 2019, Victory Junction had the ability to deliver its camp experience year-around to local children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses in the Carolinas though the Reach Program, touching the lives of nearly 35,000 children! During that 5-year Reach partnership, 100s of credit union employees volunteered their time in Ronald McDonald Houses and local children’s hospitals to deliver smiles to families and children.
