I-CUDE Scholarship Criteria and Application Form

The International Credit Union Development Educator Designation (ICUDE) is awarded by the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions in partnership with the World Council of Credit Unions and the Global DE Network. Before applying for the ICUDE designation, you must complete four criteria, which includes earning a second DE designation by completing a DE program outside of the United States.

If your professional journey includes earning your esteemed ICUDE designation, the Carolinas CUDE Network’s ICUDE Scholarship is for you! This scholarship provides up to $4,500 in support of travel and tuition to attend an international DE program.

Application Criteria

The Carolinas CUDE Network’s ICUDE Scholarship is open to any CU employee or volunteer in the Carolinas who:

Has successfully completed the Principles & Philosophy Conference, or volunteered at the Principles & Philosophy Conference;
Earned the CUDE designation five or more years ago;
Has a demonstrated record of community impact through the Carolinas CUDE Network or their credit union;
Provides a written endorsement from their CEO;
Has a CUDE sponsor who submits a letter of recommendation;
Is committed to international credit union development and exchange.

Applications are accepted each year from June 1 – August 15. Approved applicants may use the scholarship funding to complete their ICUDE designation in the following two years. Strong preference will be given to applicants who have previously attended the World Council Conference or another international conference.

Note: The Carolinas CUDE Network scholarship committee may request a video interview as part of the final selection process. If selected, the scholarship winner agrees to submit a testimonial to the Carolinas CUDE Network and present at a quarterly meeting on their international DE program experience. Questions?
